When I think about the month of September, I think of the weather cooling down and my garden coming back alive. But I also think of “Back to School”….which it makes me think of aprons and overalls.
This time I won’t talk about neither aprons nor overalls, but about a special pattern for a school-dress that has been with me for a very long time and which I have used many times with slight modifications.

School dress. Simplicity 7963

It is a Simplicity pattern, No.7963 dated 1960.
Adding to this pattern puffed sleeves, lace on collar or buttons on the pleats enhances the lines of the pattern and makes the dress to look more interesting. This pattern doesn’t need modifications in the sizing or in the fitting…it is a good pattern.
Happy Back to School! and thank you to all my friends and dear customers who provide such beautiful pictures for us to enjoy!
