What a pleasure it is when the weather cools down and the leaves start to change color. The garden changes in color and feeling as well, and I begin to think about Fall’s fun activities and holidays.
I went to “Memory Lane” (my photo albums in the basement) a week ago and found a picture of my first granddaughter’s Halloween costume. Eleven years ago, I helped my daughter sew it using the Simplicity pattern #3994.

It took about 3 days to work on, and the finished product was like a priceless master piece to us. It was so much fun to dress my baby granddaughter in the costume, and she looked so darling, if I may say so myself! In our family we are costume people, with a long tradition of great dress-ups and a reputation of “going all out” for any opportunity, ranging from little skits at Church activities, to more serious school performances, and of course the all-important Halloween. Children adore a fun costume, and adults are really children at heart anyway. With warm regards, please enjoy your Fall season. |
